Artist In The House With Monica Lim
In this session, Monica Lim will demonstrate the beauty of soft pastels on Pastelmat paper and explain how to use the medium to create dreamy paintings. This isn't a traditional paid workshop, so come with your curiosity and all your questions about pastels. It's a chill session where you can witness artistic process up close, and get to experience pastels for yourself.
We'll provide A5 size Clairefontaine Pastelmat paper and Koh-I-Noor Soft Pastels for sharing. Please bring your own colors and tools to make the most of this creative experience.
Monica will also exhibit her pastel art and color drawings. Monica's artworks go towards supporting worthy causes. 70% of the proceeds of this piece will be donated to the non-profit organisation Hagar (hagar.org.sg), an organisation dedicated to helping human trafficking victims. By buying Monica's artwork, you are bringing hope to women and children, and contributing to the process of healing and rehabilitation.
About The Artist
Monica Lim, a bestselling author, discovered a passion for art during the Covid lockdown in 2020. Captivated by colour, she began painting almost daily and remarkably won her first art award from a US gallery just a year later. Viewing art as a gift, Monica dedicates her artistic talent to benefit others. By selling her original artwork for charity, she has raised over $24,000 as of 2023. Her signature style is characterised by vivid colors and dramatic contrasts.

Refunds are not available for participants who choose to withdraw from the workshop after registration. However, Overjoyed reserves the right to amend or cancel the workshop at any time.
