Making Friend With Watercolor With Raymond Li (4-Sundays)
Unlike fixed mediums such as oil or acrylic, watercolour has a mind of its own. It’s a journey to cultivate a long-term relationship with this expressive medium. To truly understand and appreciate watercolour, you must take the time to engage with it, allowing for a deeper connection to develop. Mastering watercolour brings an indescribable, rewarding joy to the creative process, thanks to its unpredictable nature, which often leads to breathtaking and unexpected results.
This fundamental class is designed to equip students with essential techniques, paving the way for the ultimate freedom of artistic expression. By the end of the course, you will be able to create a compelling landscape painting. Unlike traditional watercolour classes, this one emphasises a theory-based approach, complemented by hands-on practice in the classroom.
The course will initially focus heavily on theoretical aspects. Did you know that for the wet-on-wet technique alone, there are over 10 different variations? Understanding these nuances is crucial and often the reason many give up on watercolour. In this course, Raymond will guide you through these challenges and help you overcome them, so you can unlock the true potential of watercolour.
