JACQUES HERBIN 1670 Anniversary Ink 15ml Hematite Red
JACQUES HERBIN 16026JTHematite Red ink from the "1670" collection by Jacques Herbin is a scarlet red shade with a slight brownish tint. It is illuminated with golden glitter that gives it a unique depth and character. Presented in a 15ml glass bottle, this ink is ideal for fountain pens, rollerball pens, and glass pens.
With a dark red color and earthy tone, Rouge Hematite ink is a reminder of the historic color of the Herbin logo and the sealing wax used by members of the royal courts.
The sealing wax on the bottle is reminiscent of the Herbin wax used for the "grand cru" wines of France.
The design on the box represents the life of Herbin. The ship, anchor and palm tree represent navigation and discovery. The crown is a reference to the red sealing wax used by the royal court.
J. Herbin 1670 collection celebrates 340 years of the alluring chronicles of J. Herbin, an inspiring French sailor of the 17th century. He made a number of voyages to India, collecting formulas and ingredients for his sealing wax and inks. He began making inks in his shop in Paris in 1700, beginning with the series “Ink of Ships” and “Jewel of Inks.” The sealing wax on the bottle is reminiscent of J. Herbin wax used for the Grand cru, or wines of France. The colour Stormy Grey is inspired by the dark and wild storms encountered by J. Herbin during his naval expeditions. The fine flecks of gold in the anthracite ink invoke strikes of lightning across the uncharted waters as well as its inexplicable and mysterious depths.
