Made in a French paper mill since 1512 by Clairefontaine, who is currently the only European manufacturer making its own paper for its own products. Fontaine is made of 100% cotton fibre, which are hollow, so they have got a better capacity of absorption of water for watercolour. It also facilitates retouching, has outstanding light reproduction and retains colour transparency. Made in France.
