On high-quality, ink-resistant paper (like Tomoe River, Rhodia, or Clairefontaine), the ink displays a vibrant, coppery-red or pinkish sheen where it pools. The sheen can be so heavy that it almost looks like a dual-color ink, and it can be visible even with fine nibs.
