FAIRBRENO Photo Emulsion & Sensitizer 1000g

FAIRBRENO Photo Emulsion & Sensitizer 1000g is a light-sensitive coating used to prepare screens for silkscreen printing. When mixed and applied to a mesh screen, it creates a layer that hardens under light exposure, allowing you to transfer detailed designs for printing.

The sensitizer is mixed into the photo emulsion to activate it. This mixture is then applied evenly to both sides of the silkscreen in a dimly lit room to prevent premature exposure. After drying, a transparency with your artwork is placed on the screen and exposed to light. The exposed areas harden, while the covered design areas remain soft and are washed out with water, leaving a clean stencil on the mesh. Once the screen is dry, it’s ready to be used for printing with ink onto fabric, paper, or other surfaces.

How to Use:
Mix 1 part Fairbreno Sensitizer with 10 parts Fairbreno Photo Emulsion and stir well. In a dim room, coat both sides of the screen evenly using a screen coater, then leave it to dry or use a hairdryer. Once dry, place your transparency artwork on the screen (right side up), lay the screen face down on a lightbox, and insert a black backing paper inside. Expose to light for about 5 minutes. After exposure, rinse with water and gently scrub the design area until clear. Allow the screen to dry fully before printing.
