PEBEO 766051The Resin Art Box – Home Deco is a complete kit dedicated to the practice of resin art, specially designed to help users create stylish geode coasters and decorative resin projects with ease. The box includes 150 ml of bio-based Crystal Resin, colourants such as fluid pigment and a 4Artist marker, silicone moulds, and inspirational content accessible through a QR code, along with a step-by-step guide to support the creative process.
The included Crystal Resin is suitable for moulding decorative objects, creating tray backgrounds, jewellery making, decorating various surfaces, and embedding inclusions up to 2 cm thick in small volumes. When applied in a thin layer, the resin produces a glossy varnish effect on finished creations. For use, one part Crystal B hardener is mixed with two parts Crystal A resin in a clean, dry container. The mixture should be stirred thoroughly, transferred to a second container, and mixed again to ensure complete homogeneity and proper curing before being poured into the chosen mould or surface. Drying takes approximately 24 hours in a dust-free environment, although curing time may vary depending on ambient temperature and humidity.
The resin is also compatible with mixed media techniques and works particularly well with Pebeo products. To determine the correct quantity of resin needed, users can fill the chosen mould with water and measure the volume, using one-third hardener and two-thirds resin. The final appearance of the cured resin reflects the finish of the mould used, with matte moulds producing matte surfaces and glossy moulds producing glossy results. Matte finishes can be enhanced with Gédéo GLOSS+ varnish or an additional thin layer of Crystal Resin. Surfaces can be sanded before applying new resin layers, and creations may be removed from moulds after approximately 12 hours and shaped further before reaching full hardness after 24 hours. For added protection and durability, it is recommended to apply a layer of glossy Bindex 24 hours before pouring the Crystal Resin.
