SCHMINCKE Liquid Earth 15ml Sanguine

Liquid Sanguine from Liquid Earth series by Schmincke.

The paint is similar in effect to Liquid Charcoal liquid charcoal. It is a completely clean and dust-free way of painting. It contains high-quality gum Arabic, just like traditional art watercolors. It has a gouache consistency and can be diluted with water to achieve different shades, textures and layer thicknesses. Depending on the substrate and layer thickness, it can be spread by hand or thinned with water.

It is also used as a thin-layer primer for paintings (e.g., in oil painting), successive layers of applied paint do not get as dirty as with traditional charcoal or chalk primers due to the greater adhesion of pigments to the substrate.

Earth paint can be combined with drawing charcoal. Smudging and washability of liquid chalk depends on the substrate surface used - the more even and smooth the surface, the easier it is to correct mistakes and smudging.

Note: Due to the fact that the pigments are all-natural products, there may be minimal color differences in each batch. The pigments of natural origin used in the production of Earth paints are from the EU area.
